Arrow categories

Goguen categories were introduced as a suitable categorical description of L-fuzzy relations, i.e., of relations taking values from an arbitrary complete Brouwerian lattice L instead of the unit interval [0, 1] of the real numbers. In this paper we want to study the algebraic structures derived from Goguen categories by replacing its second-order axiom by some weaker versions.

Regular functors and relative realisability categories

The relative realizability toposes that Awodey, Birkedal and Scott introduced in [1] satisfy a universal property that involves regular functors to other categories. We use this universal property to define what relative realizability categories are, when based on other categories than of the topos of sets. This paper explains the property and gives a construction for relative realizability cat...

Focalisation and Classical Realisability

We develop a polarised variant of Curien and Herbelin’s λ̄μμ̃ calculus suitable for sequent calculi that admit a focalising cut elimination (i.e. whose proofs are focalised when cut-free), such as Girard’s classical logic LC or linear logic. This gives a setting in which Krivine’s classical realisability extends naturally (in particular to callby-value), with a presentation in terms of orthogonal...

Realisability of Production Recipes

There is a rising demand for customised products with a high degree of complexity. To meet these demands, manufacturing lines are increasingly becoming autonomous, networked, and intelligent, with production lines being virtualised into a manufacturing cloud, and advertised either internally to a company, or externally in a public cloud. In this paper, we present a novel approach to two key pro...

Arrow theorems in the fuzzy setting

Throughout this paper, our  main idea is to analyze the Arrovian approach in a fuzzy context, paying attention to different extensions of the classical Arrow's model arising in mathematical Social Choice to aggregate preferences that the agents define on a set of alternatives. There is a wide set of extensions. Some of them give rise to an impossibility theorem as in the Arrovian classical  mod...
